The Offering: New Belgium Abby Ale. Trappist (ish) Dubbel, New Belgium Brewing Co. Colorado, USA

ABV: 7.0%

New Belgium gives a valiant attempt at a Trappist Belgian Dubbel. It doesn't really come close but it's not a bad brew. Spicy malty nose with a hint of cider. The mouth is full of clove and barley and banana. Good malt profile with a little spice. Not the best Dubbel but solid.
